Field to dashboard.
Nothing in between.
Built
for the field.
Sabasi collects data where connectivity fails: remote villages, health facilities, crowded markets, then puts it straight into your dashboards. No exports. No manual steps. Just data, where you need it.
County governments, NGOs and researchers across East Africa collect with Sabasi
Three steps. One platform.
From the field to a live public dashboard, Sabasi handles the whole journey without asking your team to become data engineers.
Collect
Build surveys in minutes and deploy to field teams. Works offline. Responses queue and sync automatically when connected.
Visualise
Responses land in your dashboard the moment they sync. Mix survey data with CSV uploads and external sources. Ask AI in plain English or Swahili.
Share
Publish as a public website with one click. Share with citizens, partners, or the media, no developer needed. Export as PDF for reports and presentations.
Built for teams working in the real world

Surveys that work
where you work
No signal? No problem. Sabasi Survey runs fully offline on Android. Your team collects, it queues, it syncs, without anyone having to think about it.
How Sabasi Survey works for you
The signal drops.
The work doesn't.
Sabasi's offline mode means your field team keeps collecting whether they're in a rural health facility or a crowded market with no data. Responses queue locally and sync the moment connectivity returns, automatically, with nothing lost.
Build any survey
in minutes.
Drag-and-drop question types, conditional logic, multi-language support, and collaboration built in. From a simple feedback form to a complex multi-stage research instrument, Sabasi handles it.
Your responses arrive
before you leave the field.
The moment a device reconnects, responses sync and your dashboard updates. No waiting for end-of-day uploads or manual compilation. Programme managers in the office see results while enumerators are still in the field.
Simple from day one
Four steps from survey creation to live insight, no technical setup required.

Built in Africa,
for data that matters.
Sabasi is a product of Open Institute, a non-profit organisation working to build open, informed communities across East Africa. We build tools that put data in the hands of the people who need it most.
Fostering open, informed communities
Where citizens actively engage with transparent governments for sustainable development. Sabasi is how we do that, by making data collection and analysis accessible to anyone, anywhere, regardless of connectivity.
We started because most data tools are built for organisations in wealthy countries with reliable internet. The reality in East Africa is different. Field teams work in rural areas. County governments have limited technical staff. Researchers need to collect data in places no commercial tool was designed for. Sabasi was built specifically for those conditions.
Sabasi is part of something bigger
